(Cherry Hill, NJ) – Today, The Communication Workers of America enthusiastically endorsed Donald Norcross for re-election to the House of Representatives in New Jersey's First Congressional District.

"I am proud to have the endorsement of an organization that is leading the fight for working families," Norcross said. "I will continue to fight with the CWA to make sure working men and women get their fair share, not just the millionaires and billionaires. I look forward to returning to Congress with their support to work on critical issues such as raising the federal minimum wage to $15, paid family leave, earned sick leave and continuing to protect a worker's right to organize."

The CWA represents 700,000 members who work in telecommunications and information technology, the airline industry, news media, broadcast and cable television, education, health care and public service, law enforcement, manufacturing and other fields.

"Congressman Norcross has walked the picket line in our strike against corporate greed at Verizon and he supported working families in opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership," said Hetty Rosenstein, CWA New Jersey Director, "It is his support and advocacy for American jobs, when it is needed most, that led our leadership to give him our Union's endorsement."

In addition to supporting Donald Norcross for Congress, the CWA has also given their endorsement to Bernie Sanders for President.

Congressman Norcross is proud to have the CWA join the NJEA and Sierra Club in endorsing his campaign. He has also been endorsed by the leaders of both the Sanders and Clinton campaigns in New Jersey, as well as the Democratic Parties of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties.
