As Donald Norcross starts his second year in Congress, it is fitting he receive some praise.
Making a brave decision to vote for the Keystone XL pipeline, which placed him in position to create a bipartisan pathway to pass future infrastructure spending, was a good first vote, proving he really was sincere in his promise to create good-paying construction jobs for workers in his district.
Norcross has made efforts to keep us informed about what he is doing as our representative in Washington. His appearance on local TV news programs gave me great hope that he is just the kind of political leader we need in New Jersey.
Finally, his reaching out to us by writing an op-ed piece explaining his plans for passing a raise in the minimum wage (“Raising minimum wage will lift families out of poverty,”Commentary, Jan. 18) was brilliant. Thumbs up for our distinguished public servant.
