Norcross Votes to Make It Easier for Workers to Save For Retirement & Make Apprenticeships More Affordable

U.S. Congressmen Donald Norcross (D-NJ) voted in favor of H.R. 1994, the SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act, which passed the House of Representatives with a 417–3 vote. The SECURE Act expands opportunities for Americans to increase their retirement savings and improves the portability of lifetime income options from one plan to another.

U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Vice-Chair of the Bipartisan Addiction Task Force, along with U.S. Representatives Joe Courtney (CT-02) and Ann Kuster (NH-02), Chair of the Bipartisan Addiction Task Force, introduced the Parity Enforcement Act, H.R. 2848, which expands the U.S. Department of Labor’s authority to hold health insurers and plan sponsors accountable for offering health plans that violate the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.

Norcross: We’re One Step Closer to Ending Discrimination Against LGBTQ Americans Once & For All

Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) voted in favor of the bipartisan Equality Act, which passed the House of Representatives with a 236-173 vote. The Act would add to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 nondiscrimination protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in the same areas of life that are protected for Americans on the basis of race, color, religion and national origin.

Norcross, Kelly Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Make Apprenticeships More Affordable

U.S. Congressmen Donald Norcross (D-NJ) and Mike Kelly (R-PA) introduced the bipartisan 529 Opening Paths to Invest in Our Nation’s Students (529 OPTIONS) Act, H.R. 2679, which makes apprenticeships more affordable by allowing individuals enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program to fund tools and equipment for the program out of a “529” college savings plan.
