Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced that the Osborn Family Health Center, CAMcare Health Corporation and Project H.O.P.E. will receive a total of $727,683 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Center Program.

“Everyone ought to have access to quality health care – it’s that simple, and community health centers play an important role in ensuring there’s access for all,” said Congressman Norcross. “Investments like these improve the well-being of our neighbors and friends, help us battle the disease of addiction at home and support jobs for hard-working health care professionals who devote their time to helping others.”

South Jersey healthcare facilities to receive:

“Osborn has served the city of Camden and the surrounding communities since 1974,” said Shawne Cuilla, RN, MSN, Executive Director and CEO of Osborn Family Health Center. “This grant award will allow us to expand our Behavioral Health services and improve access to our primary care patients through expanded office hours. We will continue to challenge ourselves with innovative healthcare models while working closely with our Primary Care Association partners. Together, we can make a difference.”

“Our goal is to use this award to further support our quality improvement efforts while continuing to provide our patients with holistic Community Health Center services,” said Mark Robert, President and CEO of CAMcare Health Corporation. “These patients need support with breaking down both the clinical and social barriers to their care. We look forward to continuing and expanding our partnerships with community and local government agencies to work together to improve the quality of health for our city’s residents.”
